Privacy policy

Last updated: October 17, 2026

This policy explains what information is used when you play Pick a Door at pickadoorgame.com, why, and what choices you have. Pick a Door does not ask for an account, your real name, your email address or your location.

1. Data stored on your device

The game saves a few values in your browser's local storage so that you keep your progress: your best score, tokens, golden keys, upgrade levels, sound setting, the name you use on the leaderboard and your personal best sent to it, and the number of games you have lost. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's data for this site.

2. Online leaderboard

Sending a score to the leaderboard is optional. When you do, the following is stored in our database (hosted by Supabase):

Names and scores are public: they are shown to every player in the leaderboard. Names containing offensive words are refused. We keep leaderboard entries as long as the leaderboard exists, and you can ask us to delete yours at any time (see “Contact”).

3. Hosting and statistics

The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web server, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the pages and protect the site against attacks.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits (pages viewed, country, type of device, loading speed). It does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites.

The fonts of the game are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers to download them.

4. Advertising and cookies

Pick a Door may show ads provided by Google AdSense on large screens. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to show ads, limit how often you see them, measure their performance and, if you agree, personalise them based on your interests.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent message from Google asks for your choice before any personalised advertising. You can change your choice at any time with the privacy settings link shown by this message.

Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services, or manage personalised ads in My Ad Center.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live, and in particular under the European GDPR, you can ask to access, correct or delete the data concerning you, or object to its use. For the leaderboard, tell us the name you used and we will delete your scores. If you are in France, you can also contact the CNIL.

6. Children

Pick a Door is a general audience game. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Children should ask a parent before sending a score to the leaderboard.

7. Changes

We may update this policy, for example when a new feature is added. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version.
